Jeremy & Kamisha Moody of HomeCheck Inspection Service have been providing professional home inspection services in Eugene, Oregon and surrounding areas since 2001. With an extensive background in residential construction prior to becoming an Oregon Certified Home Inspector, Jeremy provides thorough inspections and thorough reports, and a friendly and informative approach to our clients’ questions regarding their real estate investments.
We offer a variety of real estate inspection services for homebuyers, investors, property managers, and sellers, including whole house, wood destroying organism (“pest & dry rot”), pre-listing, new construction, and commercial property inspections. We perform lead-based paint inspections using an XRF Analyzer, the best available lead detection technology, recommended by the EPA and HUD for accurate LBP detection; we are state-certified for these inspections and have been trained according to the EPA, HUD and State Standards. Our goal is to make the inspection process as efficient as possible for you and your agent, by offering a wide array of professional inspection services.
Every inspection includes our friendly verbal introduction to the home, and the continued availability of the inspector for follow-up questions by phone or email. Our reports are easy to read, computerized, narrative reports with color photos next to the findings and an itemized summary. All reports are uploaded online or emailed the night of the inspection.
With a service area that includes Lane, Linn, Benton, Douglas, Deschutes, Klamath, Coos, Jackson and Lincoln counties, we are able to help our clients with all of their real estate investment opportunities.
Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing.
As a general rule, if a home has less than 11 to 12 inches of insulation in the attic or crawlspace, it could probably use more. Use batt or blown insulation for best results. Check with a Lowe’s expert to determine the proper R-value of insulation for your home.
